Implementation of a Stable Solar-Powered Microgrid Testbed for Remote Applications

چکیده

An intrinsically stable microgrid, operated by inverter-interfaced distributed energy resources (I-DERs) is introduced in this paper. The microgrid built upon a systematic design method, which adapted from the operation of synchronous machine (SM). proposed method analogizes dynamics dc-link I-DERs to rotor generators (SGs) and utilizes capacitor as storage. Thus, mechanism relaxes battery usage for frequency control, using capacitive stored energy, provides high fault ride-through capability, suitable both on-grid off-grid applications. Based on stability analysis SG dynamic state matrix eigenvalues multimachine power system, characterized context microgrid. stores kinetic similar inertia transients without need inverter angle responds change dc link voltage (energy). then controlled field control pertaining SG. Finally, governor-like applied maintain stability. Simulation experimental results are provided show effectiveness mechanisms.
